Slow-motion forgiveness (TM)

Here's how I see judgment working in the inner child, the basic self, the immune system, the Little Artist--all the same being inside us.

One job of basic self has is recording and storing all our life experiences. This including recording and storing disturbing experiences, resolved and unresolved.

It records and stores unresolved disturbances until they are accessed by the soul, and the life lessons extracted. The soul knows all 3D experience is valuable and useful. The basic self records and holds onto all disturbing experiences not yet resolved into the soul's education.

For example, say you have an issue with feeling betrayed; you are super-sensitive to any sense of possible betrayal.

Do you think this formed from a single prior incident of betrayal? Or do you think this formed from feeling betrayed over and over?

For us to have a betrayal issue we are consciously aware of now, requires repetition, many instances of experiencing, imagining, feeling, thinking we were betrayed in the past.

Negative emotions and faulty beliefs cannot become conscious here in 3D, without much "rehearsal time," until they are strong enuf, reinforced enuf to go "on stage" here in an outer 3D physical world (the same is true for any physical illness as well).

Sometimes we have so many instances of; say betrayal, the inner child needs a very simple way to keep track of all of the instances. So it simply numbers them: the first time I allowed myself to feel betrayed and let down, the second time I allowed myself to feel betrayed and let down, etc.

So that's the "bad" news: the basic self keeps track of our unresolved negativity. The good news is, since incidents are recorded by the number—they can be forgiven and released by simply counting them off by the number!

Who exactly does this releasing? Your own soul. Forgiveness can only be done by your soul. The mind and emotions may understand forgiveness but do not in themselves, have the authority to tell the basic self to release the negativity. Only your soul has this authority. The basic self listens to whatever the soul says!

Consequently forgiveness is a soul action, a spiritual exercise.

Slow-motion forgiveness (TM) might look like this:

“I forgive myself for allowing myself to feel (the negative emotion, i.e. betrayal), the first time, the second time, the third time 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 . . .

Clients count as long as energy continues to move and clear. We go as high as 30 or 50 in a 1:1 session. In the next three days, it can be very healing for clients do it again--as long as energy moves somehow. I count to 1000 on my issues. I often do this walking, one number per step.

You do not need Bruce or any coach to do this. You can do this on your own. If you need coaching, call me.

Please do make up your own verbal formulas and try them! You know you have the right word formula if energy begins moving and clearing. Feel free to change the words to “hit the nail more on the head.” Often clients cannot feel the energy move. A more intuitive person can tell them what’s occurring.

All healthcare should begin with self-healing, don’t you agree?

The nature of human nature:
your three selves

How did it happen today that neither psychology nor K-12 education embrace the spiritual in the human being?

Some history: The abuses of religion by traditional churches in the 1700s and 1800s, created an obsession in 19th & 20th century academics. They stripped away anything spiritual or metaphysical from both psychology and education to put a "firewall" between religion and psychology and religion and secular education. But the baby was thrown out with the bathwater; the natural spiritual capacities of every human being were banned from schools, colleges and psychology.

For the purposes of personal-spiritual growth, we ended 2008 with virtually no functional psychology nor virtually any functional K-college education. "Functional" means ideas and models of the human psyche simple enuf to appeal to high school seniors and college freshmen and engage them in lifelong psychic health.

We desperately need new views on the Nature of Human Nature. Without new models, neither a psychology of health nor education producing independent thinkers can develop.

The germ of a healthy psychology comes from Hawaiian mysticism, Huna. In the West it's called the Three Selves. The Three Selves (3S) models the whole human psyche including our natural spiritual capacities The model is so simple, versions of it can be taught to five year olds as long as loving is the focus. Making loving the focus is good for conveying this model for persons of any age!

Your Three Selves

The inner child is your Habit Body

The inner child, also called the basic self, is the one breathing you right now. The conscious self only occasionally attends to how we breathe. We CAN breathe consciously--but--frankly, the conscious self has more pressing and interesting things to do. Typically the inner child has the language of a two to five year old; and, can only count to ten.

What does the inner child want? It wants the loving cooperation of the conscious self to bend down and lovingly assist it with all the places it hurts and where it is stuck in life.

The conscious self

The conscious self (c/s) is the one reading this word right now. The job of the c/s is to make healthy choices and decisions. 3D life for all of us is a rapid sequence of opportunities to make better, healthier decisions. As it matures, the c/s learns to make healthy decisions for the highest good of all concerned. In other words, it learns ethics; it learns the value of alignment, "I am what I align with." The c/s is trying to do the right thing, at the right time, with the right people, for the right reasons. The c/s has the job of learning cooperation with the b/s and high self.

The c/s is also the one who makes To Do lists and lists of all kinds; including, "Bad people do these kinds of things. . . Good people do these kinds of things . . ."

What does the c/s want? Just ask it; it has all the language you have. It's domain in numbers, is the domain of 100, the decimal system.

The high self

The high self (h/s) is the one who knows the plan of your present embodiment, the lessons your soul planned to accomplish and what opportunities you have to accomplish your goals. Your h/s is working right now to ascertain the value of the Three Selves for you. That's its main job, to determine the VALUE of persons, places and experiences for you.

What does the h/s want? Whatever facilitates the soul doing and learning what it signed up to do and learn, whatever propels you forward to align with love, Light and angels and your own divinity.

The conscious selves communicate with each other by talking. Two basic selves in the same room communicate with each other SUBconsciously thru body language and all other non-verbal channels. The high selves communicate with each other UNconsciously, above the yak-yak mind, looking for people who are beneficial for you to relate with. At each level, your 3S communicate with each other.

Whenever two or more people meet, all the basic selves and all the high selves are in constant communication depending on proximity and involvement.

Communicating with your basic and high selves

Want more conscious communication with your basic self and high self? Good, me too. Communication between levels simply takes education and practice. The funny thing is your basic self and high self are always in touch. They are more similar than different, cut from the same cloth, subconscious and unconscious, similar. On the other hand, the conscious self is an island, by far the most isolated of the three selves. The conscious self can get in on the conversation between b/s and h/s, but it takes desire, willingness and practice.

The conscious self is the most isolated of the three selves by design. The c/s represents the soul here in 3D life. Our soul, your soul, does indeed stand outside of all conditioned levels and is free of conditioning. In order for it to KNOW this is true, here in the confusing mish-mash of 3D life, the c/s has to have the possibility of objectivity, being IN but NOT OF the chaos of 3D experience That's why the c/s is the most isolated self here. The value of the isolated c/s is, fewer distractions. This enables the c/s to do its job better: making healthy choices.

Differentiating distinctions between the conscious self and basic self was the major blind spot of 20th century psychology--except for Huna--and education--except for Waldorf education.

All healthcare should begin with self-healing, don’t you agree?

The logic of

Spiritual geography

Here's the most accurate map of consciousness I've found in forty years of esoteric study. Maybe you see it more clearly, though, so your comments are welcome! I am NOT a spiritual teacher. This is simply the clearest explanation on record. I'd like to hear yours too.

The best intro to spiritual geography is, of course, experiential. In the early 1970s a certain meditation was popular and used in many learning settings. It goes like this. Close your eyes. Quiet your pictures of what you like and dislike. Now quiet your feelings about what you love and hate. Now quiet your mind. Now quiet your memories. Okay, now. Who doing that?

The One doing the quieting, however well or poorly, is your soul, the spark of the immortal-eternal in you. All sentient beings have souls.

The soul is so far away from its true home here in 3D physical- material reality, all we mostly see of true soul qualities here are the qualities of unconditional loving, service, choice, friendliness, attention and intention. All the other positive qualities are more obscure and less visible down here. Instead what we mostly see in and around us are very conditioned energies.

Hence, another blessing of 3D life is the most essential qualities of the soul: unconditional loving, service, choice, friendliness, attention and intention--are highlighted; and, very conspicuous by their absence. This draws our attention to them.

The soul, a spark of unconditional energy, is difficult to perceive here. It's true home might be even more obscure, right? Maybe a map can assist us.

The simple overview of spiritual geography is Mother-God and Father-God. Two regions or fields.

The Father Principle is the unchanging creaTING part.

The Mother Principle is the changing, flowing creatED part.

So Mother-Father leads to CreaTION and creaTING.

Their Son, the Holy Spirit, I think is easiest to grasp as the love, joy and synergy between Mother and Father God in their creating. So the Earth, you, me and all of creation, is their Child, their Son, part of their creation. We came out of their joy of creating together.

So the simplest spiritual geography is a polarity. Diagram:

Unchanging. Eternal. Stable but no fixed form. All the QUALITIES and flavors; of consciousness-beingness.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Changing. Flowing. Temporary. All the FORMS consciousness can inhabit.

These two face each other, as lovers do. The most common 3D imagery is Father God on top and Mother God receiving, below. They are really inter-penetrating. 3D creation is one of their offspring. If they ever stopped inter-penetrating, the atoms would stop spinning and we'd all be in trouble.

So that's the simplest map. Notice it embraces polarity, as in it takes two poles of a car battery for a car to run (John-Roger).

The next most simple map has five divisions of Mother God, of creaTION.

The simplest way to picture these five divisions of creaTION is to look at your open hand, with the thumb up. The little finger down below represents the physical level. Next finger is the level of liking, disliking, polarity and ambition (astral). The next finger represents the deeper emotions. The next finger represents the mind and beliefs. The thumb represents our unconscious memories, habits and behaviors (upper part of etheric).

There are many more words of each of these levels. Each level has its own King or God. You can read interviews with the God of each level in Paul Twitchell's book, Tiger's Fang, 2nd edition, a book justly famous for this tour of the realms. You can read a more personal account of a journey thru the realms in John-Roger's 2003 book, When Are You Coming Home?. It's very rare that anyone on Earth goes to these realms and comes back to tell about it so these two docs are really for everyone and anyone, regardless or race, creed, color or religious belief.

It's these five levels, physical, imaginative, emotional, mental and unconscious, that we deal with primarily in the human experience.

Following the language of Theosophy, John-Roger calls these five distinctions Physical, Astral, Causal, Mental and Etheric. These initials spell PACME. However these Theosophical terms, from the late 1800s, have dated rapidly.

More descriptive and precise terms might be: physical, imaginative, emotional, mental and unconscious: PIEMU. Always go for more precise language if you can get it.

Note I'm deliberately using two or more terms for the same level. If we start with multiple labels for each level of consciousness, we will start out on the correct foot: not getting hung up on labels.

Each reader will then have wiggle room to define these divisions as she wishes to. Don't get hung. up on labels. What's meaningful is not the labels but the characterizations you build up in your own mind as you practice observing and thinking about the contrasting qualities of the different levels of God's body if this pursuit appeals to you. Otherwise, just stick with the loving, make as many good choices as you can; and, forgive yourself for any choices that later seem less than optimum. That will always work.

So what's this map good for? Like any map, it's good for learning where you are now; and, to choose a direction of travel.

The PACME map diagram

Father-God, soul realm and above. Positive realms of formless Spirit where among other things, Beings congregate to keep alive the positive qualities of Love, Honesty, Humor, etc so these can be available down in creation.

Creation, the realms of the Mother-God, comprised of five levels of conditioned energy.

U

Unconscious. The upper etheric realm. The endlessly fertile Womb of Creation. The Cornucopia. The Zen void, the realm of "neither this nor that." Home of Mystery, angels, archetypes and Ur-concepts. Unconscious memories, habits and behaviors.

The Upper Etheric realm spans all of PACME and weaves the disparate aspects of different density together into wholes. The Etheric has rightly been called the Web of Life as it gives sentient beings the sense of being one whole rather than disconnected parts.

See also the "Lower etheric realm", below, just above the physical.

The realms below the Upper etheric can be pictured as bands of liquid in a clear glass beaker. They form into bands according to their respective density, densest layer on the bottom. The Upper Etheric density runs thru all of them uniting them all.

M

Mental realm - Form and structure. Beliefs. Mentalizing. Monkey mind. Beliefs. Allegiances.

E

Emotional realm - Attachment. Deep emotion. Ten times stronger than any other realm in Creation at this time. Emotional love. Hatred. The emotions you are attached to. Attachment in all its forms, especially emotional. Called the "causal realm" in times past because attachment was seen as the cause of our karma, which is largely accurate--but not very helpful.

I

Imaginal realm - Liking and disliking (see RS 1919 on this). Reactivity. Monkey mind. The more obvious five senses (animal senses). Fleeting feelings. Animal passions. Imagination. The blueprints of your optimum physical body can be found here. The theosophical term was astral realm. Astral means starry. Early clairvoyants were very impressed with the sparkly and colorful quality of the human aura and the appearance of disincarnate beings living on this level, who appear sparkly and colorful. New language is more appropriate for purposes of growth. Also: Pan(?), devas and nature spirits. UFOs, aliens, Star Trek and Federation of Planets activity.

e

Lower etheric realm. Acupuncture meridians and all phenomena related to them. Vitality! Chi! Prana! Nature spirits. Life energy is the animating quality of the etheric visibly moving the physical corpse). This realm is not separate from the upper Etheric. They are a continuum, the energetic "glue" holding the whole creation together.

P

Physical - Chemical - Nutritional - Materialism per se. The chemical corpse of the human being. Not the living part of the human being. Material building blocks. Things.

Where am I on this map?

You know how you go to a new mall and look for the map and look for the "You are here" marker?

Is there such a "You are here" marker on this map of spiritual geography?
No and yes.

No, there is no marker for everyone because each of us is healing uniquely.

Yes, there are markers for where you are as a unique individual on this map. One marker shows up when you simply ask, Where do I spend the majority of my attention, primarily, PIEMU?

The answer to this is akin to your spiritual center of gravity. It's a useful idea as long as you understand you can change this up or down depending on the choices you make today. Where our spiritual center of gravity is a function of our habits. Our habits are a function of our choices. We can make new choices and upgrade our habits on any level.

Q: Isn't my spiritual center of gravity my physical body?

A: Not likely. It would be your physical body if you spent the largest part of all your awareness in materiality and materialistic concerns, survival concerns.

If your whole life and everything you do is centered primarily around survival, comfort & pleasure, for your physical body, then yes, we'd say your center of gravity is in the physical. But if that were so, you’d be unlikely to be reading this now.

Give yourself time to consider each level of consciousness. Simply explore the idea of which level, PACME or PIEMU, might represent where your center of gravity is. It is possible to have your center of gravity in the soul realms above the unconscious. It's more rare though.

The above five-fold map is often called PACME in honor of John-Roger, who did more than anyone else in the last 100 years to promote this basic orientation in the West.

Understanding PACME or PIEMU, understanding a basic map of spiritual geography, is where you often have to start, if a clear and true mental image of personal-spiritual growth is desired.

To my brother and sister metaphysical bookworms, yes, you do find similar spiritual geographies in Steiner, Heindel, Buddhism and many other places. Crucially, these other maps outside of Light and Sound groups usually only go up as high as the Causal realm, sometimes to the mental. They often use Buddhist terminology difficult to translate and penetrate with the light of day. I've studied dozens of spiritual maps; go see for yourself. It's primarily Light & Sound groups, who have spiritual geography going all the way up to soul and beyond. Ultimately--it's only a map. Find people who love and support you and whom you can love and support.

Many, many people will not like the idea that maps of consciousness even exists. That's fine. The map is not for those people! A map is only useful if you wish to learn where you are and to make choices about where to go. A map does not make choices for you; tho it may make some choices obvious. That's why the people who DO like maps, like them. They are helpful--but as NLP says: maps are not the territory. Don't get caught in the map!

All healthcare should begin with self-healing, don’t you agree?

The law of GENTLENESS

How to avoid a healing crisis;

Gentleness for healers

According to the Beings of Love working with me, the single main consideration in working energetically with people is: Is this operation/ technique/operation safe to do on this person at this time?

If this question is not asked, a great downfall of healers comes into play: doing too much, stressing the client; that is: showing off.

Both practitioners and clients fall into this fallacy out of eagerness to "make something happen" that can be experienced consciously, some impressive "gosh, wow!" effect.

Believe me, a healing crisis is more than you want to experience consciously. You can die or be permanently injured by a healing crisis. No one needs a healing crisis. I can't think of a single healing crisis that I, a client, or clients of friends has gone thru that was karmicly required. Virtually all healing crises are due to amateur management by the conscious selves involved.

Specifically, the Law of Gentleness for practitioners means asking THE FIRST THREE ETHERIC CENTERS: Can this body handle the contemplated change? The body is energetically equivalent to the first three chakras. If ANY CENTER says "no" to any proposed change--and a practitioner goes ahead anyway--then a healing crisis is risked.

In other words, don't open any energies the client's first three etheric centers are uncomfortable with. How do you find out? You ask via muscle testing or by ASKing each of their centers directly.

Like what you see here? The Three Selves: Becoming fully human is available in book form on the Publications page.

All healthcare should begin with self-healing, don’t you agree?
